With over a decade of experience building various home-grown brands, Lina Husri is best known for her work in brand building, and talent management. Working with the leading names in the PR sector, she founded PR and Production firm ThinkSmart in 2014. The firm that started of as a PR firm, quickly dwelled into TV production and In 2017, the firm produced its first reality TV show. The show, Eish El Dor is the region’s first male TV show that has aired three successful seasons on MBC Action.
Landing in Dubai in 2006, from Aleppo (Syria) , Lina has called Dubai her second home for the past 14 years. Progressing her career in UAE, she worked with governmental accounts like Aswaaq, Dubai Municipality and Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, Lina recognized her passion to support startups and build brands from scratch. Today, her achievements include many but her key focus has been building brands and individual talent. Working with the top personalities and brands from the Middle East region, like Arab World mega name Joelle Mardinian from 2009 till date, Lina has ensured that she shares her expertise and values through PR activities to grow an individual/talent into a real brand name, creating value for the brand while delivering a positive message to society.
Depicting leadership and sheer passion for bringing people together through effective communication, Lina is all about positivity in every aspect - including in PR. She believes in empowering women and this reflects in the day-to-day of the company working with inspiring iconic women like Rawan Bin Hussain and members of the royal family, Her Highness Sheikha Maytha and Sheikha Bin Hasher Al Maktoum, Sheikha Wafa Bin Hasher Al Maktoum.
Having built a community of talented individuals, Lina’s main goal behind ThinkSmart was to become a
strategic partner for the client, helping successfully interact with and involve its audience, resulting in adding value to their business. From taking start-ups and emerging talents to new heights, she has taken brands across borders, helping them expand phenomenally within just a few years, such as AAVVA, concept store BEYOUboutique that is set to go global, by setting up as a franchise in Amsterdam; the expansion and success of a real Emirati brand as a result of consistent PR opportunities. She is a firm believer of consistent hard work, perseverance, and integrity, with exceptional capabilities at recognizing unexploited brands within the GCC region and the international market.
